
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – inaugurated on Wednesday, Muharram 16, 1440 AH, the King Salman International Conference Center in Madinah.
Upon the arrival of the beloved King at the center’s headquarters, he was received by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region; His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Deputy Governor of Madinah Region; His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Minister of Finance Muhammad Al-Jadaan; and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance.
After that, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques toured the center, where he viewed a model of the King Salman International Conference Center in Madinah and listened to an explanation from the Minister of Finance about the center. He explained that the center was built on a total area of 91,000 square meters, with buildings covering 60,000 square meters.
The center includes:
A main amphitheater for celebrations with a capacity of 2,500 people.
Three multi-purpose halls, each accommodating approximately 500 people.
Multiple meeting rooms with a capacity exceeding 500 people.
A celebrations hall.
A media center.
Administrative offices and supporting facilities.
The center also includes 1,200 parking spaces and is located 6 kilometers from the Prophet’s Mosque and 12 kilometers from the airport.
